There is something special about bringing a book to life for a child.

We’re Morgan Williams and Megan Koch, the author and illustrator behind Bee Like Jesus Books. Through school and library visits, we give children a chance to meet the people behind the book, experience the story, see our original handmade paper artwork, and discover how an idea can become something real.

Every visit is a little different because every group is different.

Whether we’re sharing biblical truth with students at a Christian school or exploring creativity and bookmaking at a public library, our hope is to create an experience children remember long after story time is over.

What Makes a Bee Like Jesus Book Visit Different?

Our books don't begin with digital illustrations.

They begin with paper.

Children get to see how Megan takes individual pieces of paper and turns them into the characters, backgrounds, and tiny details they recognize in our books.

They also get to hear from Morgan about writing a story, creating a book, and what happened when two moms with very different gifts decided to create something together.

It's a chance for children to see that books aren't simply something they find on a shelf.

Someone once had to imagine them.

Someone had to create them.

And sometimes, the beginning of something special is simply being willing to try.

School Visits

Our Christian school visits bring together story time, handmade art, creativity, and biblical truth.

Students hear Jesus Loves You, He Told Me So!, discover how our paper illustrations are made, and learn the story of two moms who didn't feel equipped but chose to trust where God was leading.

Most importantly, we remind students that God has given them unique gifts too.

As part of our mission to BEE His love, 10% of books preordered through each school visit goes back to the school to use however they see fit.

Public Library Visits

We love partnering with public libraries to give children a behind the scenes look at writing, illustrating, and creating a book.

Library visits can include story time selections, original paper artwork, an age appropriate craft, conversations about creativity and publishing, and opportunities to meet a local author and illustrator.

We understand that every public library has its own programming guidelines, so we work with each library to create an experience that fits its community.

Read them at bedtime. Talk about them around the kitchen table. Give them to a grandchild. Keep them on the bookshelf long after those little hands have grown.
